For a minimalist, is a smartphone an ally or an enemy? Let's analyze this topic 😉

The usefulness of a cell phone
I'm the first to think that the Smartphone is a fantastic tool. For a minimalist like me, it's perfect 😁
Indeed, having a smartphone means having:
- A mini laptop
- A photo camera
- A diary
- Mobile phone
- Others
👉 All this combined in an object about the size of a wallet. What a minimalist invention 😍

👉 In fact, it's more pleasant and convenient to have a small all-in-one item compared to several bulky items for each use!
On the other hand, is the usefulness of the smartphone more of an ally than an enemy for the minimalist? Like everything in life, there has to be a happy medium. 😶
A Smartphone is not vital!
Note that a Smartphone is not vital! In reality, we do not depend on it to survive.
Indeed, despite the usefulness of a Smartphone, you can live happily without it!
Therefore, when using a Smartphone, you have to find a happy medium so that it is positive for the user!

⚠ The goal is to make the Smartphone a tool at our service. Before the Smartphone makes us its slave 😊
Screen time
How much time do you spend per day with your cell phone?
👉 According to a study, 65% people spend between 4 to 6 hours a day.1
It's way too much time 😯
It is possible that some people spend 6 hours productively. I congratulate them. On the other hand, we all know that it's a minority.
Concerning the majority of us. We regularly use our smartphone for subtleties that don't really help us move forward in life...

The amount of useless information
In reality, about 4 to 6 hours a day. The main question is how much useless information do we receive per day?

For example:
- How many unnecessary notifications have you received?
- How many emails have you received that you are not interested in?
- How many unnecessary ads have you seen on social media or search engines?
- How much useless information do you read on your smartphone every day?
In reality, these questions are not a coincidence. Indeed, all these aspects make us waste a lot of time on our Smartphone !
The goal of this blog
With this blog, I have reserved a part of my page minimalist to all those who wish to reduce the use of their Smartphone for trivial matters! For example:
- Receive fewer unnecessary emails
- Receive fewer unnecessary notifications
- Remove Ads
Indeed, despite the fact that a Smartphone is useful and practical. If used incorrectly, it will easily become harmful to the minimalist!
In summary, let's use the Smartphone a little but well rather than a lot and badly 😉

About me
I decided to create this blog to develop and help readers who are looking for a simpler and more economical life.
Compared to before, I was a person who consumed a lot until the day I realized that my consumption made me sadder and poorer 😑
Now I prefer the minimum of my needs to be happy and achieve my financial freedom.
Without realizingI started to focus on saving and investing to depend on a boss for as little time as possible and to speed up my personal projects.
For several years I have felt happy and I have become richer in a way that I would never have imagined given that I have an average salary in Switzerland.
It is for this purpose that I decided to create this blog. In order to share and learn with other people who seek freedom and simplicity 😉
Are you rather minimalist or frugal Jonny?
I am as minimalist as I am frugalist. However, there are situations where I lean more towards an art of life.
To conclude, I think the most important thing is to feel comfortable in your lifestyle 😊
