With this blog, my goal is to give the simplest savings tips possible. But what is the best saving tip in the world? 🤔

The secret to saving money
In order to save money, there is a secret that salespeople don't tell! 🤫

➡️ Once you learn this secret. And practice it daily. You will save a lot. But a lot of money❗
Actually, by the end of this article, you will understand what this secret is.
Save commercial version
In fact, we see lots of ads everywhere that write messages like:
“With this you save 40% compared to a similar product. By buying this you save in the long run. By buying X you save 50% on Y”
It often feels like you're getting a good deal. But in reality, not really!
Save frugalist version
In my opinion, as a frugalist, there is only one way to truly save. Therefore, I am going to reveal the “secret”
🔺 My advice to save a lot is… drum roll… DO NOT BUY !
In reality, there is only one way to be truly ecological and economical. It is … do not consume.
I know … it’s not the most selling or impressive piece of advice you’ve heard in your life. But on the one hand, I’m not here to sell or impress.
➡️ This is an important step for us frugalists to understand. To save, you have to buy only ESSENTIAL.
When to know if a purchase is essential or not?
Okay, your speech is nice, but you never know if you need a product in the long term..
Yes and no!
I have a quick and easy method for understanding if I need a product. This tactic works almost every time.
The Tactics of the 15 days

I have a post-it note on my cell phone pad! Whenever there is something I consider interesting to buy. I write it down.
Then I wait 15 days and when I read this item again on my notepad, 95% of the time, the object I wanted, I no longer consider important.

Indeed, time is usually a good advisor!
Without entering into a political and social debate. Everything is done so that we are compulsive buyers! But we, minimalists and frugalists, must do the opposite of a compulsive buyer!
👉 In reality, a compulsive buyer buy and then think if the item he has just purchased is interesting to him.
➡️ On the contrary, we, frugalists and minimalists, take the time to think if the product is interesting! Only once the question has been studied, decide whether the product is beneficial to us.
Note that this tactic allows you to buy less crap on a daily basis 🧐
Table with examples of savings
Here is a simple chart to give some examples of how much you can quickly save with this tactic.🔎🔍
| Purchase price | didn't buy | |
|---|---|---|
| A cat toy for 15 CHF with 40% discount (which will use 3 days) | 15 CHF | 0 CHF |
| Spatula holder for 5 CHF (which will never be used) | 5 CHF | 0 CHF |
| Beauty gadget without use | 15 CHF | 0 CHF |
| Total | 35 CHF | 0 CHF |
With this table, we conclude that it is easy to buy unnecessary items every day. In addition, note that these small purchases add up and can be very expensive in the long run.
Contribution to the zero waste movement 🗑
👉 This is not a movement that I claim, but with this tip. I was surprised to learn that I was part of the zero waste movement without wanting to be.
In reality, this advice is applied in one of the “R” (Reduce) of the zero waste movement.
If you don't know this movement, it's a lifestyle that promotes as little waste as possible! In the "R"s of the 0 waste philosophy. Reducing means consuming less and throwing away less.
➡️ It makes sense when you think about it. The less we consume, the less we produce waste.🧐
Conclusion
🔺THE The best advice in the world to save is not to buy! Mostly trivialities!
🔍 Do not forget that a purchase, even with an incredible 90% promotion, remains an expense 💳! And also a new possession that may clutter your home.
👉 Note that not consuming is not a question of becoming stingy. On the contrary, is determined to consume only the essentials😀.
➡️ The less you buy, the less you spend. It’s not a very selling or impressive phrase. But it’s realistic, simple and straight to the point. 😉

For a question of transparency towards the readers. All recommended products are in order to make life cheaper, simpler and to promote the essentials.

About me
I decided to create this blog to develop and help readers who are looking for a simpler and more economical life.
Compared to before, I was a person who consumed a lot until the day I realized that my consumption made me sadder and poorer 😑
Now I prefer the minimum of my needs to be happy and achieve my financial freedom.
Without realizingI started to focus on saving and investing to depend on a boss for as little time as possible and to speed up my personal projects.
For several years I have felt happy and I have become richer in a way that I would never have imagined given that I have an average salary in Switzerland.
It is for this purpose that I decided to create this blog. In order to share and learn with other people who seek freedom and simplicity 😉
Are you rather minimalist or frugal Jonny?
I am as minimalist as I am frugalist. However, there are situations where I lean more towards an art of life.
To conclude, I think the most important thing is to feel comfortable in your lifestyle 😊
